This Is Why You Sometimes Don’t Get What You Want

Why You Sometimes Don't Get What You Want

Not all fairy tales have happy endings you know, and somewhere interlaced within the plot some seemingly impossible situations. I know! Before you attack me, just give me a few minutes. Reading this means there are things you still want in life that you haven’t gotten yet. We’ll be discussing why you sometimes don’t get what you want in the subsequent text.

Let’s Dive into Why You Sometimes Don’t Get What You Want

1. Unrealistic Expectations

Who doesn’t want good things? Sometimes we don’t realise that what we want does not conform to the reality of the circumstance. For instance, as a lady, you will look better in certain types of dresses and hairstyles than others. The same goes for them. You just have to keep it real. Not that it’s out of your reach, it just doesn’t suit your situation or who you are as a person. Don’t overthink it, feeling disappointed that things don’t pan out.

2. External Factors

Can you prevent it from happening? Can you avert it after it happens? How do you deal with it during the situation?

If it’s beyond your control, why fret? What can you do? Get someone who can help you or refer you to an expert.

Still, I would personally pray to God and wait in faith knowing that in the end, all things are working together for my good.

Some of the things that may try to hinder us are economic conditions, certain societal norms and unfair judgement from people who know nothing about us.

3. Lack of Preparation or Effort

Sometimes we don’t have clarity on what it is we want, not to talk about preparing for them. But that’s okay. Nobody discovers themselves in a day.

Other times, though we may have an idea, we don’t know where to begin or how to adequately prepare for them.

The last group is that some of us only wish for our dreams to come true and that’s it, nothing gets done. No action!

Success is predictable. You need to cultivate the habit of stackability and persistence, but you can only do that in fulfilment when you know your purpose in life.

 4. The timing Is Wrong

It’s not your fault. The timing is just not right. How do you know? Stay connected to God, and the Holy Spirit will direct you. You will know when the time is right and He will make all things beautiful. It will be everything you ever wanted and more. In fact all you need. Hold on; don’t give up.

That dream was put in your heart for a reason.

So, don’t worry. Don’t get discouraged when things don’t happen as you expect. Know that all things work together for your good; positive or negative. Work as if your life depends on it and pray as if your life depends on it. God’s got you! Everything will be alright.
